joe_cool custom skylake full copper ihs

Postby joe_cool » Wed 9. Mar 2016, 22:29

Some info about my custom skylake full cooper ihs project...
I build a more mass copper ihs to get better performance @ cascade cooling, but it's helping too for watercooling.

first 3d model

@ cascade cooling, compared to normal ihs i got around 200mhz more with less vcore on same cpu ;)

This is crazy!

I really love the idea. Do you mind telling me how it would help with water cooling?

Thx!
@ watercooling it helps because more mass of the ihs. For example on cpu benchmarks, more time till the cpu temp. begins to raise.

It's cool idea. If Broadwell-E will have suck paste too, such IHS can give more than 200 MHz.
