ASUS P5E3 Premium tips for celly

Postby Achill3uS » Sat 12. Mar 2016, 10:48

Yo bros,
i know some of you are really pro about this topic, but i never had this board before and really want to hunt down the intel 8G validation for a long time.
couple weeks ago bought one p5e3 mobo and have also a nice celly from Sam so want to make them fly...
first attempt was not succesful, i stuck at 7.6GHz era. but cpu can do ~8G in commando. the board is fully stock with latest bios ovp enabled. any mods tips or tricks you remember might help...
cheers guys

try to use 0605 bios :) i have two p5e3 premium and both are really good clockers. one of them does about 650fsb at all air ! after a lot of testing, i think 0605 is the best bios version.

no problem dude :) i tested a lot with my 2 boards. you can use 0505 as well. i had no difference between both versions. but i use the newer one 0605. with the latest bios my boards can not do above +-520fsb.

You might have a bad board or bad PSU. Clocking Celerons in P5E3-Premium is no rocket science. You only need to change FSB and the Vcore, the rest of the settings can be kept Auto.
